Ve v8 tailshaft on VE V6???

Hi can any one confirm Ve v8 auto tail shaft can be fitted to a Ve v6 auto

Like can I switch the piñon connection & doughnut ring from the v8 model to my diff & gear box then v8 model shaft would fit ?

Reason I ask is I need a new auto Ve v6 tail shaft having troubling getting one cheap, I can get as many v8 tail shafts as my heart needs for free just want confirm its the same length for auto gear box
