Has anyone got any tips in getting rid of stereo/alternator whine ? Car is running a stock headunit , with a pioneer s1000a proccessor, rcas running back to a mono and 4 channel amp via stinger 4000 rcas .

All rcas are away from power wires. 2 Amps are grounded properly to bare metal behind the rear seats on there respective sides .

I've cleaned up as many stock grounds that I could find (pass and drivers side foot well, behind the radio , under bonnet ground ) .

I tried running the rcas down the center of the car and it made no difference to whine at all.
Component speaker cross overs are under the drivers seat . I've mocked them up in various locations and it had no effect on the whine .

I've read that running cable direct from the alt to the chassis can help aswell.

Are you talking about RFI from ignition? I've never heard "alternator whine" and if it did, a choke should be an easy fix on that.

Try a choke on one supply and see if it makes a difference
