    i owned an Xcop car VS BT1 1996.

    was chipped"remapped" proven when i had it dyno'd, only thing it did was longer revs in second gear

    that car was good for the six years i had it nothing major went wrong.

    so you could have great car considering its not a patrol car its more likely it was a run around or D's car.

    but it wont be chipped "remapped" that ceased in 1997 they are just stock V6's now.

    NSW POLICE are not permitted to chip their cars anymore !BT1 Police Packs stopped back in the VP/VR/VS days !

    I have have five ex cop cars from the VH to now the VE, I have had a great run with these cars. The biggest problem was with the VT a slight leak in the steering rack thats all. They have all been extremely reliable. Yes the cops do thrash them but they are well maintained. The only reason I changed from the VY to the VE is because some old coger wrote it off.
