I just replace my water intake manifold gaskets that sit behind the Throttle body, while I had it open I also cleaned out alot of carbon buildup from inside the TB. I removed it to do this. The gaskets are fine, now Engine idles at 850 in park and 1250 in drive. 1st gear and 2nd will get to 50kph on flat ground wothout me touching the accelerator.

Replying to myself lol, P0507 code showing, I have no stalling issues however it felt like it might do prior to doing the recent work. Now the idle makes it the opposite. I did lift the air intake manifold to get access to everything without having to remove everything so I can do the gaskets on the water intake. Wondering if the gasket (if it failed) is allowing air in that would cause acceleration like this?

You may have induced a vacuum leak in the manifold.
The (cleaner) throttle body might be trying to relearn idle.

Possibly cracked/damaged a vac hose/pipe, [As above mentioned]

Disconnect the battery for 10 minutes,
Reconnect it, you should hear the TB reset.

If you can not find a VAC leak,
See if someone can smoke test it for you, as that is sure way of eliminating a VAC fault.

It is now idling at 600rpm in gear at lights but it is still accellerating on flat ground and decelleration is non existent. The cruise control was acelleraring at above the set limit too but is now stable at 100kph. The TB did do all the clunking and clicking when I reset it so thats optimistic. Thanks for your help, I will be back when I can get under the bonnet again to try some more trouble shooting.

I will do some googling and ring around the car club see if I get lucky on that front.
