Well i would like to say something positive about the VF SV6 Sedan i have one of the first ones and had it back in July Last Year, i can say after about 5000klm it goes even harder, i have had no issues i have done close to 30k now and its best car i have ever driven, maybe because i got one of the first they spent more time putting together, also guys no one can BLAME A DEALER for there problems, I understand you bought the car from them but they didn't build it, if they give you a brand new car they loose money too as the factory wont give them refund, Dealers are franchises, Best they can do is try fix it there loosing money every time a car gets brought back in,

Anyways good luck, but i love my VF best holden iv driven, my wife has a WL 6.0 and i still prefer the VF

2014 VF SSV Redline Sedan
Hi guys,
Picking up my redline next week. Cant wait.
After reading all these posts regarding software bugs (heating, boot opening etc), should I call the dealer and ask to have the latest software update before I take delivery. I would think they would have the most recent update installed but who knows.
The build date of the vehicle is March 2014. I just dont want to put up with these known issues if there is already a software update to rectify it. Or have to wait for a service to get the update.

Really? Well since you seem to want my complete opinion, and I have test driven both the VE and VF HSV models, is this:
The cheap plastic feel to the interior just doesn't DO it for me, seems like GM was trying to go for a Euro theme but failed. The seats are in no way as comfortable nor as laterally supportive during a hard drive as the previous models. Steering felt dead and the car felt like it weighed too much. it felt fat.
I dunno what the deal is with the guards. They didn't look that great in the 70's on the torana or the escort so why bring it back now. looks like the car has a case of downs syndrome.
I don't think I even need to mention the hand brake or that cut out bit on the otherside of the console. Great for GM, they don't have to make 2 moulds. Looks really pov in the car.
I'm not knocking your choice. This is only my opinion and clearly not yours as you have paid your hard earned money for one. Won't be a popular opinion either.

The guards and the handbrake issue are both fixed with the VF.
The VF interior shits all over my 2 Monaros, my VY Clubby and my VZ Ute. Plastic, hell, everything is plastic in all of them (including VF). Seats, short of my VY Clubby coulsons, the VE seats feel comparable to me. Steering, I think the VF steering is one of the best I've experienced in ANY car.
I totally respect your opinion, each to their own, for info I didn't like the VE when it first came out (for the first year or two), I've since owned about 5 VEs.
I also love the VY/VZs for what they are and stand for, I'd love another Monaro, maybe I need to get on carsales and find a CV8Z.. :idea3:

Try it, but I know what they'll say:

"It already has the latest software update" (regardless of whether it does or not).

Totally agree with you Cheeko, but..........Holden never took my money these Franchises did so if its not fit for purpose its their fault and they must rectify it, who cares if they are losing money they obviously don't complaint to the builder enough or for that matter maybe not at all. I like you have had mine since July and still Software and heater problems.

Umm, the dealers get paid by Holden for any warranty work they do, so they're not losing money.

Vf calais v v8
Hi, I have a 12/13 calais v. At work I often come out to find my boot open I think it's just from my keys or phone hitting the boot button on my key. Is there an actual problem with the car or is is the button just sensitive?
