I went for Valiants partly due to them being unloved...People wanted your Ford/Holdens....

There were other benefits....

When I was a kid the Ford:Holden enthusiast ratio was about 1:10, because “Holden is Australian” (despite in my lifetime always having a greater proportion of imported components than Ford).

Chrysler was already Mitsubishi … when a TN Magna is a higher quality device than the one you used to make in the same factory 10 years earlier, you prolly should be kinda embarrassed …

What would that be? If it was help pull chicks you had to own a Torana.
I think he meant they were dirt cheap, ‘cos tint was never dark enough to be 100% sure nobody would see you in one.

More room on the front and back seats...

Try that in a Torana...You're bare ass would be hanging out.... :)

Plenty of room on the bonnet and bootlid too for those that don't care who sees what you're upto;)

Didn't need a flash car to pull chicks in my younger days...;)

Will say, you don't have 5 kids by playing pocket billards....:)

I had a VK ex-cop car when I pulled a hot blonde with painted on jeans 39 years ago, she just cooked my dinner an hour ago!

The VK had decent cam in it and a Supra 5 speed gearbox and I gave her the car and rode a motorbike for a couple of years whilst saving for a deposit on a house. The VK got her into V8 Commodore's, so I never had any dramas buying one and modifying them and that was a major bonus!

My hot blonde wife was the one who suggested we should buy a V8 Commodore to support the local industry, on the basis of the VS being the best car she’d had … :)

When I met my wife I didn't own a car or a bike that could re registered. I guess it must have been my charm and good looks that secured the deal.
