VH SLX, Would a V8 master cylinder fit on a 6 cylinder braking system

Well done mate,
glad you understood the bracket thing and not listened to some false info said by @VCcommodore. Just a lil hint if the booster rear bracket rubber grommit is missing or old, just use some black silastic on firewall when fitting to prevent moisture into cabin.

By the way can you post the ebay address for that stainless steel bracket sounds like a good idea. I know Lowe Fab make one and a m/c resi cap but they want heaps $$

Actually the blue one that came with the cylinder and booster did not fit, which I thought it was strange, the stainless one fit nicely after Ive panel beat it straight, had the mechanic fit it all to day

But now I hear a Air noice when I press my foot on the brake peddle, this shouldn’t be happening right? But peddle is soft to press, ( Not hard as if it was a faulty booster) goes very softly part way then all of a sudden it stops-brakes on a dime, not use to it being so sensitive, I am getting a rear disc diff down the track, from my understanding this would fit that

Air escaping when you depress the brake pedal is generally a sign the booster is failing...
