G’day all, I hope this is the correct spot for this.

anyway, some years ago I asked Holden for info around my cars ID plate.

they came back telling me my VH is actually a VK...... Which has puzzled me so I thought I’d ask here. I also asked about A8A as I thought that would be listed but I could never find it on my car. Doesn’t exist they told me.

Somewhere. But it is definitely a VH - no extra side windows, steel bumpers, a 253 etc.

When we went looking my Dad hated the look of the VK with the plastic bumpers, slat grille no 4.2.
TBH Muirs Ashfield had a pretty uninspired colour selection on display at the time.
So we went looking for a new VH 4.2 and Ron Hodgson had a couple of these Vacationers. Bought new in 1984.

I assumed that Holden May have run these Vacationers off as a last batch of VH’s to hold them until the VK came on stream in numbers. The lateness being why they expected it would be a VK???

Yes, built Nov83 as a model year 84. Pacific Blue with light blue cord seats.
