Yes I realise that VT II onward are powered by a Chev (although you may want to debate that point with STEALTHY who insists the LS series aren't a Chev....). And I'm not a fan of those Commodores having Chevs under the bonnet either. Would have preferred to see Holden redevelop their own V8.

But even this aside, the early models were powered by a Holden V8, and I just prefer to see them remain a Holden. Nothing personal against your car though - as said you've done a great job.

Alright Darren L, I to would of loved to see holden redevelope a new v8 but.
I would of used the 308 i pulled out of it but when you put 500hp with a 100 shot of giggle gas i dont think 2 bolt mains would last very long.
Even getting steel 4 bolt caps and tapping block ive seen block crack internaly.
Ive got a bow tie chev block that has suffered that.
Thats the only reason i used a chev.
Plus i know chevs inside out being an old bloke.
And i will post video next time i bring it out for drive,This sat.
buy the way original diff is still going strong after some mean burn outs.
Salsbury diffs are pretty good.

Yep had to cut a section out of firewall for dissy.Re-boxed it in and repainted.
Extractor clearance was tight but i remade steering shaft with Flaming river uni joints and some chrome molly tube.
I know diff wont last but will fit 9 inch then.
Have ordered a 9 inch housing with alloy centre section and steel tubes.
