Thanks guys.. I got the car back on Saturday and I am wrapped with the outcome. All Gauges work including Speedo (it didn't work before), pretty much rewired the bay and tidied it up. Immobiliser and central looking installed, monster tacho goneeee (anyone want one?) new relays (there wasn't a relay on the EFI) etc etc etc.. I will post some pics up this weekend.

Funny thing is.. I may need to sell it now as I've had a large unexpected expense hit... oh well...

Taking her over to the panel shop on Saturday to get a quote on fixing the paint etc.. ahh more $$ to be spent..

Got the quote for fixing the pain - it will be about $800. It has been listed for sale now..

if you still have it on the 4th of November there is a cruise on ct with about 15vls going,you should bring this beast for her last drive!!!
i also know a very good priced painter in plumpton if your interested pm me.

Agree - it has come up well.. especially given how much it cost for the wiring :S

Will be taking the thermostat/radiator out over the next few days. Think I will change to thermos which will clean the engine bay up a bit as well.

Well the VL has gone. It was good fun whilst I had it and I certainly did enjoy it.

Will have my eye out for another challenge... still prefer either a VC or VH.
