VL Opera House Special Limited Edition V8??

i ran HSV and they said there were never any VL OHS made. only VN model commodores were made in OHS limited edition. i also rang a syndey dealer and they said they never made VL OHS.

this is driving me nuts. lol

opps i ment yeah the walkinshaw was injected but the rest wernt......

wonder why it seys lv2 when its not an injected v8?

All VLs are carby 304s besides walkys.
Some late VKs also have the 304, and the early ones have the 308.


So if its a factory V8, its most certainly a 304.



And they are a legit model, do a search and you should find out more info, pretty sure commodorenut covered it all on SC forum.

cheers for the info guys. i have tried to find info on them but can't seem to find any.. are the 5.0L stamped on the block saying if they are a 308 or 304? if so where abouts?

sorry guys, it must have been to early in the morning for me, any way CORRECTION-
the LV2 is the high commpression carby version as found in the VL SS ( you know the red/burgundy factory ones)- 137KW
the XV2 is the injected version as found only in the HSV walkinshaw- 180 KW
and the LB9 is your standard carby V8 as found in all the others.-122KW
and they are all 304's any 5.0 badges are just ROUNDING OF VALUES! e.g. 4.987 to 5.0

ok... so holden say its not real and were never made. Sydney dealer said they were never made.. anyone got any real proof that the VL i have is a genuine Opera House Special?

There will never be any proof. Holden dont keep records of their limited builds, so its not like theres build numbers or anything.

hmmm ok.. well thats ****. i just wanna know if i can call this a limited edition or not.. =\
