vn 5l manual in vs v6 wiring problem!

currently have everything mechanically plumbed up, I'm struggling with the wiring side of it. I have figured out the v8 engine loom wires and am trying to make a patch loom to join the v6 side which is located drivers side firewall (2 plugs, one 6 pin one 8 pin).
could anyone please help me figure out what these wires do?
The wire colours are :
orange
pink
green/white
orange/red
pink/blue
red/black
blue/red
green
brown/red
blue/white
light green/blue
green
brown
any help would be muchly appreciated

Why are you trying to join it to a V6 loom? Which ECU are you running?

I have a 5l manual ecu
I have the vn engine loom and was told would only need a patch loom to join the two

Are you talking about the 2 plugs by the side of the fuse/relay box under the bonnet?

You'll need to track down wiring diagrams for each model.

A VS SIII V8 S-Pack :

Yellow Ended Plug at brake booster:

Red/Black- ECM + all times
Green/White- Fuel Pump Relay Control +
Pink- 02 sensor & canister purge solenoid + feed
Orange- Blank
Orange/red- EFI Relay Feed + (from pin 30 via fuse)
Pink/blue- Maf and Auto trans + feed

Grey Plug at booster:
Brown Red- To Tachometer
Brown- A/C + power in from dash and pressure switches to request Compressor
Thick Dark Green- A/C clutch + feed from Relay
Thin Dark Green- Temp Gauge
Blue/Red- Oil light
Light Green/black- A/C compressor Relay control (earths relay)
Blue/White- Condenser Fan Relay control (earths relay)

Battery Harness:

Purple/white- Start Solenoid +
Brown- Alternator light

Under Dash Plug:
Brown/white- Brake Failure (earthed wire through brake failure light switch if activated)
Pink/Black- Ignition + Feed
Purple/white- Speedo signal output
Blue- Power or economy mode button ( earth or open depends on mode selected)
White/Black- OBD2 plug,pin 6
Black/White- blank
Brown/White- Check engine light Earth side trigger
Red/Black- OBD2 plug, pin 9
Blank Hole- Trip computer feed on Engine side of harness.

I dare say that the Vehicle harness would be the same across both V6 and V8 models but you need work that out for yourself.

Yeah the v8 loom has 2 plugs that end near the fuse box
but the v6 has 2 plugs in the corner of the drivers side firewall
so there's a distance of roughly 30mm between the two

Yeah I'd say they will be the same
I've nutted out most wires and they match up to what you've said so ill give that a crack. Cheers :)
