ok, here's the story with the commodore of mine, i took it to a auto place on monday and well the new's wasnt good. it took me ages to get to the shop, by the time i had goten there i only had 1st and 2nd gear, and reverse, so i will summ up what turned out to be wrong with the old girl.
the clutch plate for 3rd and 4th had gone bye bye's ( i didnt know they had a clutch plate for gear's in a auto) what had happend is something had come loose in the gear box, and it went threwout the whole thing, little metal filing's cloged up the filter preventing the flow of oil, as a result i basicaly cooked the thing from the inside out. now price wise to fix it is well, not cheap, $1350 for the new box to be put in the thing, the only problem is it's gonna take 2 day's for them to do it, why so long , i realy dont know. they also found a vibration in the car, it turned out that my rear uni was actually rooted, so i have goten them to do both front and rear unis and the centre bearing for me. hopefully this will fix it once and for all, after the money that has been spent on the girl lately, i realy dont wanna spend anymore, A word of advice, never lend a v6 to your dad who all his life has been driving valiant rt chargers (hemmi 245 or 265) he will realy screw it up on ya.
keep driving peoples, and drive safe
