VN heads or 355 stroker kit ??

Not too sure what size the valves are (std i think) rollers are 1:65 was putting out 145Kw at the wheels which is a far bit less than when i had the 284 cam .

Car was dynoed and pushed too far and shat itself, turns out that when i had the engine built the 284 cam wasnt worn it properly and some of lobes were worn flat as a result of the subsequent dyno check. I thought then that i would put a bit more beefy cam in hence i put the 286 cam in.

Have been doing some research regarding ProComp and most of it is negative.
Can anyone recommend a good 355 stoker kit it will be for street use only and strictly a weekend cruiser, and roughly how much it would cost.

Yeah look at the build dates on those suckers. None of mine are newer than like 82's lol and ALL metal none of this plastic base rubbish and all made in England

Ouch!

See lots of that Procomp stuff on ebay with lots of sales and good feedback. Makes me wonder but I still wouldn't touch it with a ten foot pole. Cheap **** will end in tears more times than not and fact is we have top Aussie companies producing it in our own backyard for only a few more dollars.

COME cranks have a very good rep. I'd whack a set of VN heads on there as well. You will need a different cam, intake and extractors to suit the new heads.
