As everyone will undoubtedly say... It depends how good you are at shifting, who gets the best take-off and which car is in better condition.

But all that aside... I would stick with the auto even though the S2 should be quicker... Auto beats manual in my books.

Well i have to say a auto doesnt stand a chance against a manual if you take off right and shift right. I kill my mums auto vn with my 5sp vn but as soon as i stuff up a take off its all over for me. All depends on the driver of the manual.

the 5spd should take it every time, but like mentioned before, it all depends on the driver. i got beat by my mates suzuki escuda once. i sat there and smoked it while he was gone, caught him no probs once i got traction in second gear. it's easy if your to eager to give to many revs on take off. best option is to just line em up and go for it:whistling

I would say manual. Doesn't the auto box mean a lot more power loss through the drive train when compared to a manual?

Its not that bigger deal. And no matter HOW good a driver you are, you can never match an auto when changing/shifting gears on a 0-100 run.
