- Vn V6 Manual S1
3 years ago i bought the worlds most over serviced one owner S1 VN V6 Commodore.
Oil Changed has been by thieving dealer Every 3 Months for 30 years according to the heavily stamped book. Its only got 150000k on it.
Today i thought i would put it back on the road. Plugs, Leads coolant, fuel filter, diff & gearbox oils, all no problem, fresh 98 in the tank.
all went well except....... I should have guessed. The sump plug won't come out will it. It started to undo normally & then it got tight for a few turns & now it just spins.
Im not sure if the spot welds have broken from inside the sump or its just stripped. My money is on the spot welds. Anyone else come across this? ive been turning spanners for 45 years & never had it on any car to date.
Any suggestions?
Me thinks ill be pulling the motor & ripping the sump off, but i'm open to suggestions.
