Hi all,
Just finished putting the 5 litre back in the VP. I couldn't remember how the fuel supply line went in to the injector rail.

There is that gold thing (dont know what its called or what it does??) mounted to the back of the passenger side head which looks like the fuel supply line should connect into, and then a short hose runs out the other side of it, and bends around and connects into the passenger side of the injector rail. Is that correct? I can't see any other way it could go.

When i hooked it all up and turned the ignition on, fuel was leaking out like it was a pressurised blockage.

Here is a photo I took before the engine was taken out a while ago.

Any help would be appreciated
Thanks,
James

Correct, that gold thing is the damper, it evens out the pulses from the fuel pump a bit. The inlet connection should go through that into the passenger side rail, then out the driver side via the regulator (make sure the vacuum line on the reg is properly connected) and return to the tank.
