here is what lurks under the windscreen rubbers..left rear screen. visible rust was a 5mm hole until the screen was removed.
Wow too scared to remove it now.
Don't know whats underneath.
But that can still be repaired?

yip , rust cut out, new metal welded in, then body filler to smooth everything out

I'm always amazed how a small bubble of rust grows when you wire brush it and paint it with rust killer.
yes, rust the iceberg in your car!
Actually after pulling the back windscreen, there was rust on the right hand side even though none was visible before hand.
i had been told the front windscreen was new and all good but on close inspection had some doubts so we pulled the front windscreen as well and found some fill straight over the rust. So all rust cut out , metal welded in, and a full roof paint before installing both screens.
Car looks mint now, so worth the effort.
Strangely enough there is no rust anywhere else on the vehicle.
