New rubber fitted today at 137,450.

Three of the old tyres had done 63,407.

A little life left in them.....

but with winter upon us and 33% off, took the opportunity to get them done now.

The fourth has significantly less wear due to being the previous puncture replacement so have kept that one in case of another puncture in the future.

That's pretty good mileage from a set of Dragons. Last set of those I bought I would have got less than 40k.

Clay, polish and wax today.

The thought of working with the Meguiars Ultimate Polish again was filling me with dread as it dries really quickly and then is a real biatch to remove.

So I started looking for reasonably priced alternatives and came across Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Reviews everywhere singing its paises in terms of super easy removal. In fact, the directions on the bottle state to let it dry. Reviews indicate let it haze off rather than fully dry so as to avoid powdering.

Anyway, what a dream product to work with. Far less rush and effort to remove.....take your time and remove with ease. And comes out great.

Sorry Mr Meguiar, but you are benched.

Completely agree have used it myself and it is a really good product either doing it by hand or with a polisher gets great results, just don’t forget to seal it it with a good wax

Did mine by hand.

I use Meguiars Next Gen Tech Wax 2.0.

When that is finished, I'll probably look at what Autoglym has.

Interested in trying a Carnauba wax as well.

Did you polish by hand or a machine?
Been contemplating it, have had a random orbital unit for many years, but just scared of damaging the paint.

If you do enjoy waxing by hand, the dodo juice purple haze smells nice and comes up really well. But being a lighter blue (the ss is impulse), might be ideal to go another variant?
Is a carnuba wax too.

Do like that colour, really sparkles in the sun.
