vs commodore s2
hi my vs v6 auto s2 does not matter whether its hot or cold it will rev out to 6k (limiter) without changing gear in both 1st and 2nd and very rarely will select 3rd or 4th. any ideas??

another problem is when taking a corner an aweful grinding/ rattling noise is emmited from the rear of the car, pretty sure its the diff.
i believe it to be separate problem, any possiblity these problems are related?

thanks.
Tom.

Re the trans, try replacing the throttle position sensor - this tells the trans when it's time to change gear.
Re the rear noise...could be the rear uni shot or if IRS rear end could be cracked cradle allowing diff to move. You need to get under!

and that is why you don't buy them from ebay when they have the description "Was working fine when removed" like a 2nd hand engine you want to see it working atleast before handing cash over
