The ring around the barrels play up and sometimes wear out. The knob on the key is the other thing that wears down, causing problems. Mine does the latter a fair bit. Because the key is exi to have it cut using a code for the bumps and valleys i have not bothered. I normally get around it by turning it all the way back and going again.
