I saw a series III for sale with only 125,000 km. So wondering if that is genuine. I know the series III had different cogs in the odometers. Do they break just as much as older VR-VS?

Service history should indicate if the kms are genuine.

I have only repaired one SIII dash vs lost count on how many older ones. As above, same failure issue even with the different cog. Less of them around so less chances to fail?

I drill hole in back to get to 2nd screw so dont have to touch needle or face...heaps quicker.

I get the screw back in without touching needle or face or drilling.
The few I see that have been already repaired, I never see a drilled hole. Occasionally will see fingerprints on the face.

I do use a small fine screwdriver, so perhaps gives the clearance I need to get under that plastic curve. .

im not scared i just go all in and take them mostly apart to fix them ;) u know if a newbie has tried to fix it usually finger prints on dials and the sliders between the 3 sections is in so flat side outward and pointers are never in the right spot
