Vs ss 1996
Hi all,

Have a vs ss 1996 commodore - I have recently installed a rare spares 80l tank. Originally the car had one vapour port, the new tank that was installed has two vapour ports, I was told by the technician that we can block off one vapour port. When I drive for a period of time, fuel is running up the vapour line into the charcoal canister. The routing is correct. Has anyone had issues with these tanks? I’ve also attached the current routing for the original tank that I’ve incorporated for the new tank. Thank you in advance

Try swapping the line to the other port on top of the tank.

It's possible the other port is for vapour back to the filler neck

Fuel tanks in these cars are the biggest PITA,

I've just had fuel spew out from the top of the tank when I've filled it right up and then to make matters worse I suspect the Return line to the Swirl Pot has let go now. sadly I no longer have a young child with super slim wrists to reach inside and do the job for me. Yep he's all grown up now and drives one of these cars now.
