are you cutting the back wall, if you are turn the speaker around and put it face against the wall mark it. measure the flat lip on the sub and put that measurement inside you original (about 10mm usually) not a fan of what you are doing I would rather a box behind the seat or better a bandpass box next to fuel tank and ported in

VS pics bandpass
forgot to add these pics for you, the vent is already there so remove and you are not cutting holes in firewalls etc, the box was painted then covered in waterproof bitumen spray, has failed in 7 years and took it out of VS and fitted to a VZ (slight mods for port though)
