ok i'm looking at getting an alpine install from a store called Alberts
some type s stuff, nothing TOO serious, just a pair of 4" (maybe splits, haven't decided..) in the front to replace the stock **** in the vn... and a pair of 6x9s in the parcel shelf with an amp (not sure which 1 yet...) and head unit

should be a decent setup without going over the top

what do you reckon?

You might as well get a sub too....get a decent 4/3/2 channel amp and run your 6 bee 9's and your sub off her. thats what i did...all off the standard head unit and it goes well too...got 114Db in the back seat the other day...not that thats great or anything...just goes to show what the standard head deck can do and if anyone thinks about knocking the stereo off, they only see a stock head deck anyways....

oh sorry man, i have been reading a few too many posts and i got muddled up again....but i guess what i was trying to say in a roundabout way is that you dont need state of the art gear, you can do what you said and get a good quality sound system for nix....
