VT high pitch metal ting noise when upchanging (auto)

hello all, my VT clunks into 2nd randomly from 1st and sometimes from 2nd to 3rd. its a high pitch metal on metal sound. my other mate said his VT with only 80,000kms did the same thing the other day but he said it has never done it before and only did it once. is this bad or nothing to worry about?

Where is the noise coming from? Front rear or middle of car.

I had this the other day but mine went away after not driving it for 15 minutes or so, (260000)kms. It was definitely coming from the transmission (auto)
