i need help again, this morning i went to start the commo wagon , and it just would not start
it gets to the point of almost running but wont go that extra bit
it has fuel up to the rail, so i guess that the fuel pump is ok ,
it has spark as it almost starts
it has new coil 's new leads and plugs
any suggestions ?
thanks

Have you checked for any error codes?
Just because it almost starts does not indicate that it has spark. When you changed the Coil Packs did you also change the DFI module? Could be a stuffed fuel regulator as well. Have your MAF checked, have a feeling it could be this.

hi
thanks for the quick response
i will check the codes tommorrow , the coil packs etc were changed on the car before i bought it ,
so the whole car is really an unknown factor , i have had it 2 weeks , the engine light came on briefly the other day
the car has had a miss in it when it warms up , when its cold it ran fine ,
where do i find the DFI module ? i have a vt calais parts car , so getting bits is not a problem

,

The DFI module is located under the Coil Packs. If you already have a spare parts car that is great, try replacing that first and see how you go.

i changed a few things over coil packs and dfi module , it almost started , so i knew i was heading in the right direction
i thought that i would check the plugs , as i wrongly assumed that they were new as there were new coil packs
and dirty great big plug leads , i pulled the plugs out just to see wich ones were wet with fuel , this is what i found
dodgeysparkplug001.jpg

all six were the same , although the fault code read " throttle position sensor high voltage "
well it runs quite well now , well untill the next saga anyway ,
once again thanks to all that helped
