Vx commodore

Hi my daughters vx commodore is backfiring when it starts after it has been driven and got hot. It has sluggish and slow acceleration and sometimes it doesn’t want to start again when it’s hot it will just sit there cranking and won’t fire over and we left it sit for a bit then it started again. Could this problem be a crank angle sensor or coils as that’s what we were told by a friends friend. Please and thank you.

I got more info. So it runs but when it’s hit and driving it misfires. We changed coils and dfi, checked spark plugs and mass air flow sensor. I am thinking the CAS must be the problem. Do we try and change that next

Check the error codes, hopefully its logged the cause for you.
