VX compartment lid under radio wont lock shut

i dont know what model it came out of but it was loose in a vt series 1 berlina at wreckers
has a completely different latch mechanism and looks "unbreakable" under normal use

I got jack of mine and just pulled the door off - surprisingly this is much better as I just chuck my wallet there.

Having said that I really want the one pictured above doesn't have that bodgy catch in it.

Im missing the whole door assembly for the rear compartment...cant seem to find one either and im not paying $150 for genuine. Thinking about taking the one out of the front, fixing the latch, and chucking it in the pack. Having to open and close the door in the front all the time will **** me to tears cos thats where i keep my garage buzzer
