Iv recently bought a VX V6 3.8 auto.
It's got the engine light on and the list of codes is long.
Po332 knock sensor 1 faulty
Po327 knock sensor 2 faulty
Po405 EGR
Po113 iat sensor
Po342 cam angle sensor no signal.
So iv tested the knock sensors they test ok
the cam sensor also tests ok
My question is..is the computer faulty or is there another reason for this?
The cars done 345000k and runs a little rough.Kinda thought the EGR was the cause of this.
Any ideas please.

the egr gasket is $3 from holden's and use no silcone when putting it in,just spray with wd40 the day before the job.with the iat this will throw your air fuel mixture off a bit.just clean the connectors to the problems then i would be disconnecting the battery so the codes go away then seeing what comes back up.

No need to disconnect the battery to remove engine codes. Just remove the engine fuse F31 in the engine compartment fuse/relay panel assembly for 15 seconds or so and then replace.

Knock sensor from memory was positive on battery to the sensor then tap block ...should make a slight voltage

Cam sensor was resistance when ya turn engine by hand (2 full turns)

Im just getting back to look again today
The light has come back on so im fully doing codes now....

So i finally replaced the knock sensors today.
And I still get knocking and engine light.
Really think it's a faulty ecu now.

To help need more information. are you getting a knocking noise or the knock sensor code ? what fault codes are you getting now ? and could it be a connector is dirty or faulty not clipping on properly ? or even damage to the wiring and arching out.

Yea it knocks alrite.
The codes flash up really quickly and I can't count them.
The pause is that fast I can't work out what they are.
The EGR is also faulty.
Runs rough at idEl but is good as gold under load.

Ok so....the plot thickens...
I got a scan tool to read the codes.
OBD11
EOBD11
plugged it up and it tells me it can't connect to car.
Works ok on my RA and a mates vt.
So I'm back to dodgey ecu.
Or have i just got the wrong scan tool?
