Yeah I might have to, they are a good panel shop and the bar is fitted well enough, I am just fussy that's all. It's just a little loose. Thanks for the input.

It's an old car, even the best places can have issues with older cars.

I actually had it at the panel shop as I had it resprayed, from memory it was sitting fine before it went in but loose when I got it back.
yeah I had the same issue after a paint job, odds on someone just ripped the cover off and stretched the clips..

I have experienced this problem a couple of times. Here are some options I compiled for your consideration:

Method:
Screws.

Review:
A reliable method. Not the most attractive, but readily available.

Score:
A solid 8/10

Method:
Cable ties.

Review:
Less reliable than the first method as cable ties break easier than screws. Requires more drilling. Readily available in a wide variety of colours.

Score:
6/10

Method:
Rivets

Review:
More permanent method. Requires a specialised tool.

Score:
9/10

Method:
Surprise contact with large wildlife (Roos)

Review:
Unpredictable delivery timeframe. Availability varies depending on location. Irreversible. Collateral damage common. Outcome varies. Good result not guaranteed.

Score:
2/10

My personal recommendation is for the first one as I have used that one successfully in the past. Most recently I used the 4th one and was quite surprised by the outcome (that's my car in the video). Collateral damage sucked a bit but you can't see it under all the dirt anyway.
Oh, and I just discovered these are a thing, which makes #1 even more appealing, in my opinion.

Cheers for the input, I think I will give screws a miss as I don't want a hole in my front bumper, plus the car is in immaculate condition. Thanks.

Hi mate, I had a look at it a few weeks back and managed to push it in more and it is sitting far more better now. Still a bit loose but nothing to worry about. My one on my S Pack is so tight and in line with the body.
