Hey all, I'm new to this forum stuff so forgive me if I seem odd.
I was wondering what I would need to put an L67 vx engine and loom and ecu. Into a later model vx Berlina that has an ecotec. Is it doable. Or not. Of if so what would I need. Both are auto with the 4l60e and both are a vx. So is it just a simple pull the ecotec out Nd plug the loom to the three plugs or is there more to that.

Thanks Harmon.

The new ECU and your BCM need to be linked. If you can't get the new ECU linked to your BCM, you'll need the donor BCM and keys too.

The car won't start. It's a security feature.

You need to find somebody with a Tech2 to link them for you.

Wherever you're getting the motor from; get the computer, bcm and key head.

Use your key, but change over the black key head thingo
Your bcm computer and key head need to be linked together for the car to start, hence taking all three with the engine in best case senario

I didn't change a key head or BCM for my conversion. Just keep the factory computer (the one already in your car) and get an L67 Memcal from someone like MACE Engineering, swap the engine loom and you are good to go.

Did you just get the l67 memcal or was it like a memcal that converts it to l67
