VY 3.8l V6...Exhaust upgrade help!

Looking to upgrade my stock system...wondering what the best option is.
Looking at just a cat back for now but maybe headers down the track.
What brand system will give a good sound that wont drone too much?

Have looked at Redback, Xforce and Lukey...I am looking to go Xforce
Mandrel bent cat back system with twin tip but not sure what sort of
sound this will produce or if there is a better sounding system on the market?

Any advice is appreciated!

mate. i got a redback, single cat , stock headers and wont recommend it... hate the drone at 80ks.... looking of going back to stock.. love the grunt sound at the time of starting the engine but at 80 cruising speed without any music, droning kills you....., would love to find a way to reduce the drone..

Do you mean single Muffler?...I was looking at going with Redback but after what you say might look at Xforce or Manta, been looking at some vids on youtube and they produce a really smooth sound.
Also if you have no rear resignator/muffler go to your exhaust workshop and ask about one, should keep the tone but dull the noise?

i got pacemakers, twin high flow cats and a 2.5in catback with middle resonator and rear muffler... hardly drones on the highway although it cost me $1700 for the whole lot fitted

What brand is the cat back/mufflers??

the name that is written on them is supa-cat i beleive... i'll try and have a look for you when i get home if that helps but it isnt one of the common ones
got it from sureflo exhaust in sydney if that helps so you could contact them for one

Hi, ive got a VY SS with a 2.5" catback X-Force exhaust. Gotta say it is quite when idling and low revs but sound awesome when you put the boot in. Doesnt drone at all at any speed. Will sound heaps better when i put on headers. Hope that helps

Single 2 1/2" Manta cat back with fron muffler and rear resonator if you don't want drone.
