Vy air con problem.

I have a series 1 vy ute.
It was working perfectly fine one day, then the next morning all of a sudden it stops working, when I turn it on it makes the air noise aswell as the usual noise that comes from the engine bay.
So I'm thinking maybe a leak but I'm not sure? has anyone had experience with this before?

What do you mean "air noise"?
Is the compressor enganging?
Can you hear any leaks?
Is the A/C light on?

Umm sort of hard to explain, you know when you just turn your air con on you get that sort of gas spray noise, and it usually goes away after 2 seconds or so? well that noise stays on.
Im not sure if the compressor is engaging how can i tell?
Don't know if I can hear leaks.

So maybe there isn't a leak and just needs regased? but that was only done 2.5 years ago.

Put it on The circulate for the air con.. I k or the noise you means its a shhhhhh sorta sound.. Check a relay?

Open the bonnet and with the car running, swith the A/C on and you should hear a very distinc clicking sound coming from the compressor. That's the sound of the compressor activating.
I would personally get the system pressure checked. Maybe its low on gas and as well, checked for any leaks.
Unfortunately, because it's a specialised subject, the A/C systems in cars usually require an expert in that field to fix, unless it's a small fault, let's say in the electrical system and you know what to look for.

Tried this, and i do hear the click, so that's a good thing yeah?

How much does it cost if any to get it checked from pressure & leaks? btw it was in mint condition and worked perfect the day before it stopped.

sounds like your compressor seals need replacing and a regas. had the same issue this week myself.
