Vy berlina series 2 LN3
Hi,
Just replaced the carsTail shaft hanger bearing. VY berlina series 2 4 speed auto v6. I marked it up the tailshaft prior to separating so i could reassemble to maintain the balance of the shaft.
I have re assembled the same way i took it apart and pretty sure ive assembled correctly.
However now i have a vibration which starts at about 70kph and remains thru til 100-105. (Havnt been faster so not sure if it stops).
The vibration comes on at the same speed when coasting down a hill in gear.

No vibration under acceleration up to 70kph. No vibration under 70kph while driving.

Anyone know what may be causing this and a possible fix? Only started since replacement.

Thanks

you may have bent something separating shaft
or you did not line it up correctly
so you can either have tailshaft professionaly balanced
or pull it apart and try a different position

How did you get the bearing off?

is the rubber mount between the tailshaft and the gear box supposed to sit flush when tightened up?

disregard. I phoned a friend and it's supposed to be flush. I've put it back together but unfortunately still gets vibration between 70-105.
