Hey fellas, just been going over this commy I bought, fixing **** **** trying to get it to run good.

I noticed the bolts for this plate are missing that go to the head next to the valley as show in the picture. It holds nothing to my understanding but seems to be sucking air through the holes. Maybe ? The gaskets were done recently. How I spray break cleaner near that hole or in and it revs so assuming it does also notice a puddle of oil there.

My questions is what are the bolts, and threads I remember them being star key bolts or Allen’S not sure. And does that cause a vacuum leak ?

That bracket is supposed to have a support bar that attaches to the alternator. Fairly sure the bolt hole in the head goes through the casting and if open will create a vacuum leak. This (random interweb) pic clearly shows the support bar.

Can't remember bolt sizes. Possibly the same size as the inlet manifold?
Here's another pic.
