Vy needs to be jump started after turning car off

Hello everyone I have a 2004 vy ss it has a lumpy cam head work done exhaust diff etc for some reason it normally runs fine but every now and then when I start it then drive for a bit it's 100% fine but say I stop to put fuel or get to were I'm going park then turn the car off sometimes when I go to start it again it won't turn over it just makes a clicking noise then I eaither have to clutch start it or jump start it I'd doesn't happen all the time it happens 3 days ago I jump started it then it was OK till 3days later I drove it everything fine then when I turned the car off then came back it would not start again
My guess is battery or alternator battery has green light tho could it be anything else ???

The green dot on the battery only measures 1 cell all the rest could die and the battery will still be green

Buy a new battery please, like NOW.

Check that the main cable on the starter motor is tight. If it is just a tiny bit loose it will give exactly the symptoms you are experiencing.
