Vy v6 making funny sound

Ok so got new pullys and belt and now there a stupid sound coming from the engine but when i take the belt of and start the car there no sound

Stuffed water pump? Wrong size idler pullies?

Checked all the pullys there the same size and water pump all good

give each idler a spray of wd 40 one at a time to find out if thats what is causing the noise while the engine is running

Yep done that to i starting to think it’s the alternator

A bit of extra tension on the alternator bearing with the new stuff maybe?

Ok found it was the power steering pump it’s was a faulty one from repco

Ok got a question how easy is it to change the lifters in a eco

Not that hard just need to take the lower intake manifold off.
