Hi all.

I have a 2004 VZ Berlina and it has a climate control centre dash with the flip lid bun compartment. Problem is I’ve purchased the binnacle gauges to replace the blank plate at top centre of dashboard and the gauge cluster does not work with the flip lid set up. I need the non climate control model backing mount that’s for the blank plate and not flip lid set up.

Would anyone one have the part number for the mounting setup for blank plate? (The part that screws to the back of the fascia)

Thanks in advance for any answers

The arrangement and parts for models fitted with the top compartment have a different setup.

At a push it’s the genuine Kermit the frog pods that might fit. To get those you could be looking at close to a grand! I looked the other day and found one for $1500! They are slightly different size and mount up different to the base models that have the blank panel.

I’d suggest to start liking the top compartment.

In other words, the Calais/Berlina centre trim is not compatible with lower spec trims with manual HVAC.

You have found out the hard way that SAAS pod won't fit ?
Even with the non flip up lid version with climate control that requires a bit of dash surgery.
The HSV type > no flip-up lid will fit climate control.
You could contact JHP for advice, I found them helpful, but advice may be all you can get now.
Find somebody wrecking a 2005 VZ HSV, and as Fu mentioned, rare as and expensive as.

Yeah I already have the Holden/HSV pod and gauges. So I might looking at going that route with the VZ HSV centres dash fascia. Thank you. I think maybe the VZ Calais is same set up as HSV also. Or Monaro. I’ll do some studying on it.

That’s not it. I already have that item. I’m after the part inside dash that these pods sit into

It goes straight in. There isn’t a part.
