hey all. long time since ive been on the forums.

recently brought myself a low km vz v6 berlina
currenntly having 2 issues with it
1. being a rough idle at cold start (able to see the tacho bouching ever so slightly (have attached HP tuners to do some logging an its bouching around 100rpm but seems to stablise when it goes closed loop (idle down)
my ltft bank 1 are minus 6 an bank 2 are minus 5 (my understanding that it needs to be between plus 4 an zero)
i havent changed anything yet im trying to figure out which coils an plugs are going to be best to do that with.

2. vaccum issues with Hvac sysstem
unable to get recirculate to work. i understand that some of the actuator pumps play apart in this. but unsure even just driving normally around it doesnt seem to work
also going under vaccum that it does to the default under load. which at a guess means one or both of the pumps are poo.

any 2 cents on these issues would be a huge help. as the alloytec is a new motor to me (im use to a barra or a ecotec)

Sounds like the 2 Actuators are faulty,
Easy to replace,
Just need to source some, and a bit of patience to do it,
Keeping in mind, the Solenoid manifold under the dash needs to be checked first,
As I had a damage track on the circuit board (in my VY Calais, wasnt able to get air from the front dash vents),
and had to repair it with a piece of phone wire,
The rest is history,

My VZ Adventra had the issue with going to demist when I flattened it,
I also checked the Solenoid manifold and it was ok,
I found one of the Actuators was faulty, one of the two internal diaphragms had split,
Being I found that, and since I had the car apart,
I replaced both of them, on the bottom of the HVAC system.
The rest is history.

Is this related to the other thread I posted all the info on?

hey mate yes it is
i had searched after i had posted this topic.
navigating that thingomajigo isnt to bad. still trying to find out where the infomation for the climate control is .

i was watching another video on youtube where he replaced one, of them an it seemed to work pretty good. i have found two of the 3 of them. im thinking ill replace both of them an see if anything happeneds them if all works out well that would be awesome.

the blue rod at a guess is the one located above the heater box?

Before replacing them both,
check the vac lines at the vac solenoids (under the HVAC unit, passengers side)
At that point, you can check operation of the actuators.

See if they hold vacuum, that will establish which line doesn’t hold vacuum, and so it will lead you to the faulty unit by the colour of the vac line.

Keep in mind, the black vac line goes to the back of the manifold via the check valve.

The two stage one for demist is under the HVAC.
Manual says to remove the HVAC. I recon you can get the screws for it with a flat ratcheting bit driver.

I’m guessing that’s what @Kruising did? It looks doable.

If you have leaking vac solenoids, they might be causing your bad idle.
Look at fixing those first.

hey guys

apprichate all the help so far.
was having a look today, up under passenger side dash i saw the single? stage actuator that people have been saying that its a dash out job, i reckon if i could get the black box out vaccum box? thats under it i could get it it.

the demister one looks alright if attacked from both sides of the car.
i also have one other question. what transmission oil is best for the 4l60e its got 195km on it, it doesnt do any heavy work only the light stuff

You are correct,
Mini ratchet with a Philips head bit.
Disconnected the arm,
But only removed one screw, and gave a quick tug on the actuator, and it slid out from the front screw,
Installation is the reverse of removal.

do you think its possible to attack the intake actuator via under the dash? or just replace both under the Hvac system
