Hello! Sorry if this post is in the wrong thread discussion! I’m having issues with my VZ Commo acclaim 2006.

As the title read, I was driving down an outback highway late at night were someone left a plastic chair on the middle of the road, hitting the chair it appeared to lodge under the front left tire. Immediately after the collision the check engine light appeared and the car appeared to drive completely fine for a couple kms.
I pulled over to check the damage and turned off the car, but, after turning off the car it would no longer turn over. Just a constant clicking which lead me to eventually replace the starter completely when i got towed home. The noise has now gone from a clicking to a loud “wheezing” or “whining” and still no ignition. Assumed the battery was dead so I got that replaced too and the same noise kept happening. The starter appears to let of a white light at times when attempting to start aswell.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

Both parts are brand new.

Starter is faulty

Always disconnect the negative terminal first and attach it last.

I had a similar thing happen with the start motor in the Adventra,

When the starter motor sound tired, I purchased a new battery,
its sounded a bit better, but not as good as it should have,
Thats when I replaced the starter motor,
After replacing the starter motor, it starts at the flick of the key,

You mentioned the starter motor was new,
it sounds like its spinning, but the solenoid is not engaging.
White light, Double check the connections to the starter motor,
But disconnect the Neg terminal.
