VZ One Tonner drivers seat collapsed - help

Hi guys
I'd planned on swapping seat out for another but then realised they have a flip mechanism. Are people repairing the base by welding it up or if it easy enough to just switch a good base onto the existing damaged seat? thanks guys

Whatever you decide upon, make sure that any repairs or replacement of the seat or components of the said comply with ADR (Australian Design Rules) relating to seats. Failure to do so could lead to your vehicle being declared as un-roadworthy and may incur financial penalties.

Basically, what it means is that any repairs or replacements must comply with the ADR standards in force at the time your vehicle was manufactured. https://www.infrastructure.gov.au/vehicles/design/adr_online.aspx Good luck. If in doubt check with a suitably qualified Engineer in your area.

yer easy to do that I done two ss seats, that the rail were damaged just used old base whats a flip mechanism

It's just a lever that's fitted to the rear of the 1 Tonner seats to allow the seats to tilt forwards
You press on it and the seat flips forwards
