if you completely remove the intake pipe, maf and airbox, stick a pod filter over the tb, there is no better cai then that...

seriously? search and you shall find.. this topic has been covered off on as much as exhausts and to your dissappointment.. the standard airbox is prob the best. unless you have $300 + to piss away for a placebo effect and 2 kw gain that you can feel at low rpm at the pedal (bullshit).

OR you could cut a massive hole in your airbox and labell it a 2 hole mod. its free...

I think thats what could only be described as a hot air intake. No cool air next to the throttle body without signicant mods to the radiator shroud. And where do you place the MAF?

these people who buy these thing expecting to much are all being lead
normal sv6 air box
take of the intake pipe that leads to the under side of the bonnet
leave that 3 inch hole

cut a another hold next to it and a little more down the the corner and put a 2 inch pipe or a 3 inch pipe leading straight to the floor
same as anything else
your getting the push from floor to box
and your getting fresh cold air straight from behind the light

Or remove the ducting as said, cut the 2nd hole then fit the shroud off the Monaro that sections the intake area off from the engine bay.

Did this to mine, dunno about power gains but makes a nice induction growl.

A flow thru glovebox and racing mirrors are said to be good for 20rwhp.

I made one for mine it cost $45nz all up for a simota pod filter (i prefer simota over k&n) and a pice of free alloy and it made more of a diffrence then i thought a little low down mid range boost but up top it it works really well 158rwkw on the dyno and only other mod iv done is cut out the rear muffler.

You will need a box of beer (most important part lol) a pod filter that fits your maf sensor i cant rember the size something like 42mm a pice of alloy and a old door seal.
