What’s going on guys.

I’ve been looking at getting a cold air intake for my VZ SV6 however I’m still tossing up between which one to choose. What I’m looking for is mostly intake sound and so I’m wondering if anyone has experience with these two intakes and of these two, which one of them I should go with....

Mace Cold Air Intake: https://www.maceengineering.com.au/...Shops/mace/Products/CAI609/SubProducts/CAI615

SS Inductions Growler Cold Air Induction: https://ssinductions.com.au/product/holden-vz-v6-growler-cold-air-induction/?v=6cc98ba2045f

Any info/thoughts is appreciated.
Cheers Lads

The growler would give a louder induction note since it has a bigger pod filter. However, they are hugely pricey. Heaps of people recommend the Mace intakes, which shouldn’t perform differently to a Growler, and they are pretty much half the price.

Best induction sound+ performance would be an OTR intake and a tune, which is very pricey as compared to the above

I had a MACE on my old VS 5 litre.

Darth Vader style when idling and noticeable growl when you were up it.

You can hear it in this idling vid.

VZ Crewman, VZ Cross 8, & ya mum.
You will need a tune after installing any of these.

Intakes and modern engine management systems (systems from the last 25 years) do not take kindly to changes in air flow parameters.

Back in the day, some back yard tweaks to an intake would be of benefit to an extent. Those days are long gone.

You can easily find your Alloytec running worse.

Good idea to upgrade exhaust as well but please don’t remove mufflers etc. they sound like a used dinga hitting a tiled floor.
