Have you checked the rubber doughnuts on the tail shaft?

I can't see how the torque converter will make the car shudder, if it was gone it would make the car slip in gear

That's what it feels a lot like, I think i need to find a good transmission place to diagnose it properly since the guys i took it to seem to think its either engine misfire or the traction control .
The only people that have said it was torque converter lockup was Holden but they weren't able to replicate the shudder when driving it and only went off what i told them the car was doing.
So far i have paid for 2 different shops to run diagnostics on it and both seem to think its nothing with the engine or box but it seems to me all signs are pointing towards the toque converter shuddering when its hitting about 70km/h at low rev range.
Have any of you guys experienced this with this model commodore and if so was replacing the converter the best way to fix this issue.

It also came back to me from Holden with the radiator getting transmission fluid in it but since then i have replaced the radiator.

Contaminated transmision fluid from the radiator coolant?

I had same thing recently, shudder like driving over lane rumble strip only between 1500-1800 rpm on the freeway 80kph and up in 5th and 6th (VE SS). Was all preceded by heater hose blowing and engine getting hot. Started throwing codes for engine misfire cyl 1 and 2 so replaced plugs and leads, no change, replaced injectors 1 & 2 and no longer misfired, but the shudder remained. The engine misfire also had traction light turn on and off randomly. Took it to transmission specialist who said there was coolant all through the transmission, warped the seals etc so I’m up for a trans rebuild. (No dipstick on VE trans)
