VZ wont start

Just trying to get an idea on whether to sink some money into it or not.

My VZ currently has 320xxx kms on the clock and hasnt really missed a beat in the last 12 months or so. But the last week something strange electronically has been happening.
I turn the ignition on and everytime without fail, dash, lights everything electronic turns on, except cant hear anything in the engine bay click over and wont even try to turn the starter motor over.
10 minutes later of turning ignition on and off, checking battery connections etc. It will send the signal into the bay and will kick the starter motor over and the car starts.
Not the most technical guy, especially with the AlloyTechs.
Any help or advise would be greatly appreciated.

I have had a similar problem with my VZ I have been told by a mechanic to use premium fuel as a fuel line/filter may be blocking up I have not had a problem since, I was also told by someone else that it might be the ignition barrel (I’m not sure if u have changed your ignition barrel at any point) the key wears over time so it might be one of those things but I have found premium fuel seems to have done the trick for now strangely

can be a lot of things
being intermittent means you are going to have to learn to use a multimeter and test yourself
or wait for it to get worse
most likely on a VZ in order
battery
park/neutral switch
starter motor
ECU
start relay
ignition barrel

These issues unfortunately require a lot of skill and specialised equipment to resolve. Back probes, picoscope (osciloscope) multimeters and bi-directional high end scan tools.

As the technology is eliminated from the problem solving process, so is the accuracy and time taken to resolve it. It tapers away to purely guessing which gets time consuming and expensive.

10 minutes is usually battery recovery voltage

Starter motor supply terminal,
Starter solenoid,
Start Relay,

Just a number items to check first,

No,
I think the ECU/BCM has a 60 minute delay for a faulty key head.

Interesting enough,
I had a delay of start also,
And found the battery cable to the starter motor was lose.
But not 10 minutes tho.

But the starter motor started to get slower and slower to turn the motor over especially when it was hot,
I let it cool down and it would start ok, but that did take 10 minutes to cool down.

I forgot to add,
I replaced the Starter Motor after I got caught out an hour from home,
due to my procrastination of getting on and changing it,
Since then, never had a starting issue since.
