I'm running a RedBack 2 1/2 twin system ( Ebay $299.00 plus shipping) with rear resonator and an SS inductions CAI tuned with Maf and I'm happy with the sound and the pick up in throttle response,

Reason why I'm wanting ramjet is because I want to keep the MAF. I do like the duspeed but aren't they only for mafless setups? Thanks munz, just checked ur links. Pretty keen on the red back now. Saves a few bucks

You might find the redback too quiet. I have one and ended up replacing the centre mufflers with hot dogs. Otherwise its a pretty good exhaust, better than that other chinese rubbish.

The most noticable improvement (power and economy) in your case would be to change the diff ratio from your current 3.07 which probably hasn't got LSD to 3.46 LSD out of any manual V8 VT2-VZ.
You can pick up a good one from a wrecker for around $500+.
The 3.46 will give good pickup and still have good highway economy, around town economy should actually improve unless you just tootle around now.
But if you give it some occassionally now then your economy should be better with 3.46 over 3.07.
And if you want more then 3.73 out of HSV VT2-VY2 manuals will give a little more punch with highway economy suffering slightly compared to 3.46.

If your on the Gold Coast I'm more than happy to show you my car that way you can see the ramjet and hear the exhaust in person, and know what the tuned ls1 can feel like. Give hi torque a call, I bought my ramjet from them for 400, 200 cheaper than eBay and brand new
