Walkinshaw exhaust for Maloo

Hi, first time posting here.

I have a brand new 2012 Maloo.
I am thinking about upgrading the exhaust to the walkinshaw brand.
I have decided to go with their power package deal, pipe, cold air intake, tune.

The only problem is deciding on either the 3" or the 2.5" system.
The Maloo is used as a daily ride,
Not sure if you get any droning sound from either of these pipes as this is not what i want.
Would like to be able to find a video clip of the 2.5" compared to the 3" just to see what the differance is in sound.

Dose anyone know if the 3" is that much louder than the 2.5" system?
Then how much louder is the 2.5" than standard?, just trying to get a rough idea on the sound.

I don't think i will be going for a cam upgrade, not on a brand new motor anyway.

Any information is appreciated.

Here's a video with a 3 inch but it has a few other nice things added to. Though in my experience with exhausts, you cant completely get an idea with them just off a video unless its done professionally. Give Walky a ring and I'm sure thy can give you any information needed, they might even have examples at your nearest store.

Go 3" the 2.5" sounds crap IMO the 3" sounds amazing possibly the best I've heard. Gives a similar bark to a C63 AMG Mercedes.

It won't drone either neither size will. Specially in a ute. It's easier to overcome drone in a ute compared to a wagon or sedan. I suggest you get the headers and cats too well worth it no matter what brand you use

Thanks for the replies.
The video sounded pretty good, sounds like it has some cam work done also.

With the Walkinshaw power package, what do you actually get in the way of the pipes?
Do you get the full system, like from the headers right back?
or is it just the ends after the cats?

Any more info is appreciated.

The Power Pack Upgrade consists of:

• Walkinshaw Performance Cold Air Intake
• Engine Controller Upgrade (ECU)
• Walkinshaw Performance Cat Back Exhaust System

No headers or cats and go the twin 3in you've got the LS3

Id love a Walky one for my E3 Clubsport. But the price............
