Then don't state facts like 120,000 child deaths at the hands of the US. Syria is ruled by a dictator who was almost overthrown by his own population except Putin kept feeding him more weapons and ammo. The west didn't get involved except when he started using chemical and biological weapons against his own population and their involvement was mostly limited to stopping the use of said banned weapons. The west was involved in the was against Isil which also covered parts of Syria but not directly against Assad. And the only reason Assad triumphed over the freedom fighters is because Putin used Russian military might including banned weapons against civilian populations. Clearly there was indirect support in the way of weapons and money as well as some military to train local fighters.
Most deaths in Syria can be directly apportioned to Assad.
And why did Putin assist Assad? So he could build a Russian airbase in Syria nice and close to Western Europe as well as another warm water port for his naval vessels.
Assad is one of those murderous dictators this world could do without and just another Putin puppet.
Yes I see now, Russia is now seeking help from Syria trying to get recruitment, but if that happens that won't help us any it will drive up oil prices even more as they to get axed.
