That,s the point Wombat was making , the whole issue of unleaded fuels versus the leaded fuels has been misrepresented for years.

There is a danger of lead with the old fuel, but if you read up on the dangers of inleaded fuel, it,s frightening, early on in the introduction, my wife used to work with some doctors and even back then they were trying to stop it.

And why don,t chainsaws , lawn mowers whipper snippers have cat converters, and this fuel is so dangerous yet we are breathing the exhaust fumes from our lawn mowers.

Petrol soaks into your flesh and takes all the moisture. I feel terrible having to break the news to you mate but I don't think you'll ever regain feeling in your hands...

If you do have to make skin contact with degreaser, petrol etc. use barrier cream first, it gives the degreaser something to absorb before it goes to work on the natural oil in your skin. I am a diesel mechanic by trade and get really dirty. I have seen a lot of the older guys with so many skin problems, I'm not going there, as much of a sook it makes me look I use barrier cream after every time I wash my hands. you wouldn't believe how much easier it makes it to wash your hands as oil, grease and grime doesn't soak up in your skin and fingerprints.
